The question is: What does my name mean and how does a name influence a person’s character?
In other languages the order of letters is always different. Given names to persons that define their character is also difference according to different languages and cultures.
In my culture, names are given according to the nature of your birth. For example, when twins are born they are given names based on the person who came out of the womb first that Ayamba for the person who came first and manyor for the person who came out second. Still in my culture which is a culture in Cameroon, the child which is born immediately after twins is considered more special than the twins and also given a name.
In my case I was given the name Kenkor which in English means a stranger but it does really mean I am considered a stranger in my place. Instead I am highly respected at all times because of the nature of my birth and because I was born with dreadlocks hair that was why I earned the name. And after I was born on my 3 years birthday I will receive a huge party celebrating me. Besides my English name is Bonaventure which means #luck too.
I feel myself being lucky sometimes but can’t really say its because of the name, although I still feel a great personality with my name because of the way people call me and treat me all the time.
I don’t know what happens in your culture, but what does your name really mean?
